Spend the Summer with W&M...in DC!
William & Mary offers a broad selection of summer courses at our Washington Office in Dupont Circle. For students spending the summer in the Washington, DC area, the W&M DC Summer Session is an excellent opportunity to take the same rigorous courses available on W&M's campus while exploring the many learning opportunities of the city.
Many of the professors leading DC Summer Session courses incorporate fieldwork, site visits, and guest speakers, using Washington's vibrant urban resources to build on readings and classroom discussion.
Classes are held in the late afternoons and evenings to accommodate students working or interning during normal business hours. The DC Summer Session has no internship, residential, or alumni mentorship components—it's just classes.
If you're interested in a more intensive summer session with an internship component, you may be interested in one of the additional programs available through the Washington Office.
