Directory Photos

Photos of faculty and staff created specifically for their directory page

Step One: Create and upload a primary photo
  1. Crop and size a photo to appear on the faculty/staff member's web page and save in one of the supported file types: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .gif.  The recommended size is 200x200 pixels. The image doesn't have to be square, but it's a good idea to limit the image width to about 300 pixels.
  2. In Cascade, navigate to the appropriate images folder.  Select "New>>Image" and upload the image you just created. * Be sure that you enter a System Name for your new image, such as tomjefferson.jpg or tomjefferson.png
Step Two: Create and upload a thumbnail
  1. The photo thumbnail will appear on the directory listing page.  (Here's an example).
  2. The thumbnail must be 100x100 pixels and must be a .jpg (not .jpeg, .JPG, .png, etc.)  You may need to crop the photo to achieve this size.
  3. In Cascade, navigate to the appropriate images folder.  Select "New>>Image" and upload the image you just created. * Be sure that you enter a System Name for your new image ending in .jpg, such as tomjefferson.jpg
Step Three: Link the two photos to the faculty/staff member's directory page
  1. Edit the directory page of the faculty/staff member
  2. Under the "Content" sub-heading, click the "[ ]" and select the full-size photo you just uploaded to Cascade.
  3. Under the "Thumbnail" sub-heading, click the "[ ]" and select the 100x100px thumbnail you uploaded to Cascade.
  4. Submit your changes and publish your directory folder.
