About the Chief Compliance Officer

Kiersten joined the university in 2006, heading the Office of Legal Affairs prior to launching the Compliance and Policy Office in 2011. Previously, she was a corporate lawyer at the firm of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. Kiersten got her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1997 and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994. She is a member of the state bars of Virginia, Washington D.C. (inactive) and New York.  She is also a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP).
