Compliance Reporting Procedure

For anyone to report a compliance concern – a violation of law, regulation, or policy, including unethical conduct – arising out of conduct by a W&M employee, contractor, volunteer, or student.  A “catch-all” procedure designed to cover complaints for which no dedicated procedure is available. 

Complaints are handled by the W&M Office of Compliance and Policy.

Hazing Reporting

For reporting, including anonymous reporting, of possible acts of hazing

Reports are handled by the Dean of Students, and can be made in several different ways.  

State (DHRM) Discrimination Complaint Procedure

For applicants for operational positions to file a complaint of discrimination with the State’s Office of Equal Employment Services.  

Applicants may also file an internal complaint with W&M's Office of Compliance & Policy. 

Fraud Complaints (external process)

The Consumer Protection Section of the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia serves as the central clearinghouse for the receipt, evaluation, investigation and referral of consumer complaints.
