Annual Recruiting Events

In the interest of providing various opportunities for students and employers to meet each other, the Cohen Career Center manages a variety of large scale recruiting events. The fairs and interview days happen either on-campus or on-location in various metro areas.
 
Diversity Networking Brunch -- September in Williamsburg, VA
This event falls on the same day as the Fall semester Career & Internship Fair. It is an opportunity for students and employers to enjoy a continental breakfast while mingling prior to the official start of the fair. Student participants must have a valid W&M ID to participate.
Fall Career & Internship Fair -- September in Williamsburg, VA
This fair is an excellent way for students to meet employers who are recruiting students and alumni for internships and full-time positions from a wide variety of industries. Students can access a list of participating employers via TribeCareers. Fair is open to students of all majors and class years, as well as alumni.
Meet the Firms Friday -- September in Williamsburg, VA
A symposium centered around the career fields of consulting and accounting, this event includes an industry-specific career fair. Students must have a valid W&M ID to participate.
Graduate & Professional School Fair -- September in Williamsburg, VA
Meet admissions representatives from over 100 graduate school programs. Event also includes breakout Q&A sessions with recruiters such as law schools, medicine, health sciences, etc. Fair is open to students of all majors and class years, as well as alumni.
Fall Recruiting Consortium Interview Day -- October in New York, NY
A consortium of four schools (William & Mary, Bard College, Swarthmore College, and Wesleyan University) plans an annual Interview Day that is held in midtown Manhattan. This event allows students to interview for internships and full-time job opportunities. Students must be from one of the member schools in order to participate. Applications are accepted in September.
Spring Career & Internship Fair -- January in Williamsburg, VA
This fair is an excellent way for students to meet employers who are recruiting students and alumni for interns and full-time hires from a wide variety of industries. The list of participating employers can be accessed via TribeCareers. Fair is open to students of all majors and class years, as well as alumni.
NonProfit and Government Career Expo -- February in Washington, DC
A consortium of schools (William & Mary, NYU, UVA, Richmond, Georgetown, and Swarthmore College) plans an annual career expo that is held in Washington, D.C. This event allows employers from a wide range of fields in the government and nonprofit sectors to market their internships and full-time job opportunities to students and degreed alumni from the consortium schools. Many attendees have secured internships and full-time employment as a result of this annual event. Only students or degreed alumni from member schools are invited to attend.
MetroLink Consortium -- February in Washington, DC
A consortium of four schools (William & Mary, Yale University, Swarthmore College, and University of Virginia) plans an annual Interview Day that is held in Washington, D.C. This event allows employers to recruit and interview students for internships and full-time job opportunities. It's a convenient way to hire top notch students without having to travel to Williamsburg.
K-12 Education Interview Day -- April in Williamsburg, VA
School districts from across Virginia and neighboring states come to campus to interview students and degreed alumni who are seeking employment in a K-12 school setting.
