In order to help William & Mary students and preserve the integrity of the Dress to Impress program, we have developed the set of policies below. Your cooperation is critical to ensure the maximum number of students can benefit from the program. Failure to comply may result in fines or student conduct referrals to the Dean of Students office.
The Dress to Impress (D2I) program is available to current undergraduate students, graduate Arts and Sciences students, and Master of Accounting students.
Be advised that the D2I closet includes a limited supply of professional attire and may not accommodate your size and style preferences. We strongly encourage you to come to the Cohen Career Center at least three days prior to your event. Please also note that we may not be able to accommodate same day requests.
To review available items and try them on, please stop by the Cohen Career Center's front desk. The best time to do this is during our Quick Advising hours (Mon. - Thurs., 2 - 4 p.m.), but the front desk is staffed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., if you can not make one of those times. Please allow 30 - 45 minutes to view inventory, check out items, and sign the D2I policy agreement (ie. plan your visit no later than 4 p.m.).
Borrowers are limited to one complete outfit. Clothing must be returned to the Career Center on or before the date indicated on this form and specified in your confirmation email. All suits and accessories must be returned in the same condition as received: dry cleaned and free of odors, stains or damages, with dry cleaning receipt attached. Damaged, uncleaned, lost items, or items returned without an attached dry cleaning receipt are subject to fees applied directly to your student account (see "Late Returns or Damaged Items" for details). All D2I items are available on a first come, first served basis.
Any Dress to Impress items you borrow must be returned by the date agreed upon and indicated below in this form. Late returns will result in a daily fee of $25 for the inconvenience this causes other students. Dress to Impress attire is property of William & Mary; if a suit or clothing item is lost or damaged, the borrower will be charged a replacement fee to their student account. Suits that are returned stained and/or odorous are also subject to a cleaning fee. Please note the following replacement fees for each item:
*WM Student ID Number
*Please list a description of the item(s) you are borrowing (i.e., full suit, jacket). Please note the color, brand and size of item(s) if applicable.
More Information about this question...
*Please list the reason you are borrowing your requested Dress to Impress item(s) (ie. for an upcoming career fair, networking event, interview, etc.)
*Please discuss with a Cohen Career Center staff member and indicate the date you will return your item(s) in a dry cleaner bag with attached dry cleaning receipt to the Cohen Career Center. Please factor a trip to/processing of a dry cleaning order into your borrowing plans. Return date should be no more than 10 days following your event.
Your request will be reviewed within 1-3 business days (excluding holidays and university closures) by a Career Center staff member. You will then receive a confirmation email with the return date for items borrowed.
