CBS Diversity Institute Writers Mentoring Program
  • Purpose: The primary focus of The CBS Diversity Institute’s Writers Mentoring Program is to provide access and opportunities for talented and motivated diverse writers. Aspiring diverse writers with a strong desire to write for CBS television series are encouraged to apply. You must be 21 or older to be eligible.

MeadWestvaco Packaging/Industrial Design Internship:
  • Purpose:

    The Packaging/Industrial Design Co-Op/Intern is expected to explore and expand their talents and skills in relation to the complete development of the packaging produced by MWV from conceptual brainstorming to production dynamics.

Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit
  • Purpose: The Internship Program at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) offers participants "hands on" training in the museum profession and a comprehensive overview of museum operations. Interns also gain insight into the national and international world of contemporary art.

  • Purpose: Developed to broaden Nickelodeon's outreach efforts, the Nickelodeon Artist Program is designed to nurture the development of emerging and diverse artists for positions within the Nickelodeon Animation Studio, while supporting their growth as creative visionaries.

Smithsonian (James E. Webb Internship for Minority Undergraduate Juniors, Seniors and Graduate Students in Business and Public Administration)
T. Howard Foundation
  • Purpose: The T. Howard Foundation’s mission is to diversify the multimedia and entertainment industry by increasing the representation of minority young men and women within the industry.

The Walters Art Museum 
  • Purpose: Based on a system of supervised learning, the internships enable interns to understand how a museum operates and how to relate this experience to academic and professional goals. Credit can be arranged with your college/university.

  • Purpose: Every year, the Workshop selects up to 10 participants out of almost 2,000 submissions and exposes them to Warner Bros. Television’s top writers and executives, all with the ultimate goal of earning them a staff position on a Warner Bros. produced television show.

American Economics Association
  • Purpose: Sponsored by the American Economic Association and originally by a National Science Foundation grant, the fellowship allows the fellow to spend a summer in residence at a sponsoring research institution. Fellows are to be chosen by the program with the agreement of the sponsoring institution in line with the goal of advancing the participation of women and underrepresented minorities in the economics profession, the fit of a candidate with the activities of the research group at the sponsoring institution, and the value of the proposed research to advancing the sponsoring institution's own goals.

Deloitte & Touche LLP's AERS Advisory Consultant Business Risk & Technology Risk (Intern)
  • Purpose: The Deloitte & Touche LLP internship provides an introduction to Enterprise Risk Services. Throughout the program, participants will focus on issues shaping and affecting the profession today as well as topics related to their own career development. Counseling is another aspect of the Internship Program. At the end of each engagement, interns will have the opportunity to review their performance with management.   • Purpose: The 2014 Minority Educational Institution Student Partnership Program offers talented undergraduate and graduate students summer internship positions with the U.S. Department of Energy and its national laboratories. Baltimore City Mayoral Fellowship
  • Purpose: The Baltimore City Mayoral Fellowship is a ten week full-time placement in a Mayoral office or agency. Fellows will be assigned to projects that focus on a myriad of public policy issues and challenges. Mayoral Fellows will complete their projects under the direction of senior level government officials and will be provided with immediate and direct feedback.

Capital Fellow Programs
  • Purpose: These programs,  known collectively as the Capital Fellows Programs, are nationally recognized.  The 18 Assembly Fellows, 18 Senate Fellows, 18 Executive Fellows and 10  Judicial Administration Fellows receive an outstanding opportunity to engage in  public service and prepare for future careers, while actively contributing to  the development and implementation of public policy in California.

  • Purpose: A seven-week program that offers students from underrepresented groups in medicine and/or economically disadvantaged background a unique opportunity to become exposed to the realities and options within the medical profession through a “shadowing” experience with a physician

American Heart Association MWA Undergraduate Research Program
American Physological Society STRIDE Fellowship
  • Purpose: The APS Short-Term Research Education Program to Increase Diversity in Health-Related Research (STRIDE) program funds 24 undergraduate students from groups underrepresented in biomedicine to work for 10 weeks during the summer in the laboratory of an established APS investigator or other biomedical researcher working in the fields of cardiovascular, pulmonary, hematologic, and sleep disorders.

California Institute for Technology MURF Program
  • Purpose: The MURF program began in 1991 with a mission to increase the representation of underrepresented students (such as African American, Latino, Native American, first-generation, etc.) in science and engineering graduate programs and to make Caltech’s programs more visible to students not traditionally exposed to Caltech. The program supports Caltech’s commitment to training a diverse set of science, technology, engineering, and math leaders.
