Host an Information Session
Many organizations host information sessions and/or receptions prior to their on-campus recruiting dates. These sessions can be held in selected classroom buildings or at the Sadler Center, which is the hub of student activity on campus. If you wish to arrange an information session, please contact our Recruiting Manager, Cristen McQuillan, at 757.221.3232, for assistance with scheduling a day and time as well as other logistics. If you want to include refreshments, you will need to make arrangements through either the campus' catering services (757. 221.3702) or one of several catering services in the Williamsburg area. A nominal fee is charged for use of campus facilities and for audio-visual equipment.
For information sessions that are open to any interested students, we suggest that you consider placing an ad in one or more student publications: The Flat Hat student newspaper (757.221.3281), and/or the online DoG Street Journal (757.221.7851). The Career Center will also publicize your event through its listserv and via eRecruiting.
Help Our Students Develop their Interviewing Skills and Resumes
An effective way to increase your visibility and recognition on campus is to participate in one or more of the Career Center's workshops and programs during the academic year. From conducting mock interviews to reviewing resumes, there are innumerable opportunities for you to become involved in raising students' awareness of your organization.
