Options for Admissions Representatives
Many of the W&M students are interested in the possibility of continuing their education via graduate school. If you would like to increase awareness about your admissions process and graduate degree offerings, please consider coming to campus to meet our talented students. Many schools prefer to participate in our Graduate & Professional School Fair. For those who are unable to attend the fair, information sessions are another option.
Graduate & Professional School Fair 2016
Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Sadler Center at the College of William & Mary
The cost for registration is $200, which includes a table and boxed lunch for two representatives. If you are planning to have more than two representatives attend the event, there is a $25 registration fee for each additional person. The first 50 schools to register will receive a full table reservation; all schools registered thereafter will receive a half table reservation and will share a table with another school. We made this change in order to accommodate more graduate programs and avoid a waitlist. If there is a specific school or program with whom you would like to share a table, please let us and we will do our best to accommodate the request. Please do not plan to share tables with other departments or schools without our permission.
The registration deadline is Thursday, September 22, 2016. All registration requests submitted between Friday, September 23-Wednesday, September 28, pending available space, will include at $25 late fee.
Once you have submitted your on-line registration, you will receive an e-mail containing confirmation details. Please make sure the representative who will be attending the fair receives this information. Payment is due no later than September 1, 2016. You may pay by credit card or check -- checks should be made payable to “The College of William and Mary.”
Event Timing for Admissions Reps
Check-in will begin at 11:00 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The event will open to students at 12:00 p.m.
Graduate School Passport Program
The Cohen Career Center has various initiatives to engage students beginning in their first year. If you choose to be part of the passport program, you are indicating that you would welcome first year and sophomore students approaching your table at the fair to ask questions about your program(s). By indicating that you wish to participate, your school will be listed in both a directory of graduate programs that are a part of the passport program, as well as the event program that has all schools. Freshmen and sophomores may approach your table regardless of your participation in the passport program but participating as a passport school does mean that younger students may be more likely to visit your table.

Some graduate programs opt to host an information sessions. It is hard to predict attendance at these events -- it has ranged anywhere between 2 to 40 students. These sessions can be held in selected classroom buildings or at the Sadler Center, which is the hub of student activity on campus. If you wish to arrange an information session, please request one via Tribe Careers. Our Recruiting Manager, [[clmcquillan,Cristen McQuillan]], will be in touch with any questions or you can reach her at 757.221.3232. The Career Center will publicize your event through its event calendar and marketing efforts.
If you wish to include refreshments, you will need to make arrangements through either the campus' catering services (757. 221.3702) or one of several catering services in the Williamsburg area. A nominal fee is charged for use of campus facilities and for audio-visual equipment.
