The Department of Campus Recreation provides quality recreational opportunities to all members of the William & Mary Community to enhance and foster a lifelong appreciation for health, wellness, and recreation.
Campus Recreation offers exciting programming and events designed to connect you, a first year student, with the William & Mary community:
The Student Recreation Center boasts a 25-foot climbing wall, pool and space for exercise, fitness, and open recreation activities. Employment opportunities are available, as well as unique events including Late Night at the Rec - a program designed with first year students in mind. Come get a taste for our programs and participate in a variety of activities!
The Tribe Adventure Program created W&M Pathways, a pre-orientation program designed to provide incoming students with a unique opportunity to integrate into the William & Mary Community through individualized outdoor experiences. Regardless of previous experience, students develop and use outdoor living skills while interacting with fellow incoming students and learning firsthand about life at the College from current student leaders. The Tribe Adventure Program also provides experiences throughout the semester.
Sign up for an Intramural Sports team with your W&M Pathways group, residence hall, or new friends in the William & Mary community. There are 7 teams sports offered throughout the year, as well as several weekend tournaments and individual/dual sports. Visit www.imleagues.com/wm for more information and to signup for Intramural Sports using your William & Mary account (instructions).
Campus Recreation's student-run Sport Clubs program offers students the opportunity to play on and provide leadership for Sport Clubs ranging from recreational to competitive in a variety of sports. These Sport Clubs travel and compete against clubs from other colleges and practice during the week. All skill levels welcome! Visit the Sport Clubs page for a listing of clubs.
