Parking for HS Graduations

Full Description

W&M will once again host the neighboring county high school graduation ceremonies in the Kaplan Arena. Due to the class sizes we anticipate parking in the vicinity of the Arena will be stressed.

W&M Parking Services & W&M PD will facilitate parking and manage traffic for the day. The plan is highlighted below:

The Kaplan Arena lot, Compton & Commons Lots, and Brooks St are designated as the primary parking areas for the ceremonies, overflow will be sent to Yates or the Parking Deck if necessary
The Yates Parking lot will be barricaded for all graduation dates 6/16, 6/17. On June 16th it will remain closed the entire day, and on June 17 it will be reopened after the Kaplan Arena lot and Compton lots are full.
Brook St will be blocked at Ukrop Way and at Compton Dr – behind the Arena for Handicap and VIP/media parking both days

Graduation times:

York County Friday June 16th, 2017

Building open at 7:00 am, Staff will arrive around between 7:00 - 8:00 am, Guests arrive at 8:00 am, over at 8:30 pm

9:00 am -- Tabb High School
12:00 pm -- York High School
3:30 pm -- Grafton High School
7:00 pm -- Bruton High School

Williamsburg/James City County Saturday June 17th, 2017

Building open at 7:00 am, Staff will arrive between 7:00 - 8:00 am, Guests arrive at 8:00 am, over at 7:00 pm

9:00 am -- Jamestown High School
1:00 pm -- Lafayette High School
5:00 pm -- Warhill High School
