In addition to background presentations with experts from the College of William & Mary and Colonial Williamsburg, on-site presentations will highlight garden designs ranging from formal 18th century terraces to backyard habitats, boxwood mazes, and “secret” gardens. All houses feature superb flower arrangements created by members of The Garden Club of Virginia, with emphasis on colorful seasonal flowers and plants native to the state. Also experience special discussions with Master Gardeners and presentations on the restoration work of The Garden Club.

There is considerable walking on uneven brick streets along with grass, dirt or pebble paths. The terrain is mostly level or with gentle slopes.
