Your all-access pass to everything William & Mary.
Your ID card is the official form of identification for students, faculty and staff and an essential part of your life here on campus. If you are a member of the Tribe community, you should carry it with you at all times. It costs $23.
Lost ID Card?
In the event that you lose your ID card, the very first thing you should do is report your lost card via tribecard.wm.edu, the ID Office or William & Mary Police. We’ll issue you a replacement ID card and transfer all account information at a cost of $23. Replacement cards are issued at the ID Office, Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm and by W&M Police after business hours.
Stolen vs. Defective vs. Lost?
If your card is considered stolen, a replacement will be issued at a reduced cost of $11, however a police report must accompany the request.
If your card appears to be in new condition but is defective (i.e. not swiping property), a replacement will be issued at no charge and the defective card must be surrendered to the ID Office to be destroyed. This also goes for old ID cards that, despite loving care and attention over the years, have come to the end of their useful life.
If your card does not fall into one of these two categories, then the original will be considered lost and a replacement fee of $23 will be charged.
Sound like kind of a hassle? There are some things you can do to make sure none of this happens.
