About Me
A native of Hampton, VA I completed High School at Kecoughtan High School. Equipped with knowledge, determination and the love of my parents and community I went on to receive my BS in Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA in 2003.
After spending two years in the Counseling field I realized I wanted to do more to bring joy into people’s lives and a love of event planning emerged! I got my start while working at Norfolk State University by coordinating events and conferences for my department as well as for other Associations. To see the smile on someone’s face when you are able to bring their ideas and vision to life is very rewarding.
This is not only my career; this is my PASSION!
Personal Interests
I enjoy working with Youth (especially teenagers) and participate in mentoring programs and community services projects through my church and as a member of the National Urban League of Hampton Roads Young Professionals. I also enjoy reading and crocheting as ways of relaxing.
Favorite Getaway
I love to travel! Discovering and exploring new places as well as revisiting places previously traveled. I always seem to learn something new in my travels. My favorite getaway would have to be cruising. There’s just something about being on the open sea; the beauty of the water and the mass of its existence simply speaks to me!
