Site Administration The College of William and Mary

Students can join our research group through either the Department of Applied Science or the Department of Physics. Admission procedures & forms, degree requirements, and other department-specific information can be found by visiting the departmental web sites

Although the course requirements and PhD qualifying procedures of the two departments are somewhat different, the research program in nuclear magnetic resonance is entirely interdisciplinary. Elective courses offered through either department may be taken transparently, and there is a weekly research group seminar course in magnetic resonance taht is cross listed with both Departments. Professors Hoatson (Physics) and Vold (Applied Science) serve jointly on the PhD Thesis Committees for all students in the group, irrespective of Department.

From time to time postdoctoral positions are available, please contact either Professor Hoatson gina@physics.wm.edu or Professor Vold rlvold@wm.edu for additional information.
