Collegiate Program
The CurriculumMinimally, students must complete seven courses: two core courses; at least one of the four NIAHD field schools; a semester-long internship for credit; plus three additional courses taken in any discipline or combination of disciplines that relate to early America, material culture, or museums.
All courses used to satisfy the requirements of this program must be taken in residence at the College of William and Mary. However, students may use coursework done at William and Mary prior to entering the program to satisfy requirements.
Each semester, there will be additional formal and informal opportunities for professional development. These will range from brown-bag lunches, to performances, to exhibits, to lectures.
