Application Procedures 

Students at the College of William and Mary:

Regularly enrolled students at the College of William and Mary may apply to the Collegiate Program at any point by filling out the form available here. This form may be submitted by campus or U.S. mail to: Dr. Carolyn Whittenburg, Director of the National Institute of American History & Democracy, P.O. APPLICATIONS FROM WILLIAM & MARY STUDENTS ARE ACCEPTED ANYTIME DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR.

 Students from Other Colleges and Universities:

Students from other colleges and universities should submit a completed Application Form, transcripts of all college-level work, and at least one letter of recommendation to Dr. Carolyn Whittenburg, Director of the National Institute of American History & Democracy, P.O. Box 8795, College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, VA 23187-8795.

Students who wish to claim Virginia residency for tuition purposes must also complete a Virginia Domicile Form. That form should be included along with the application form. These instructions apply to ALL students who wish to be considered for in-state tuition privileges no matter what their status at their home institution may be.
