Visiting Campus

Williamsburg is 150 miles south of Washington, D.C., 390 miles south of New York, 200 miles north of Raleigh, NC, 45 miles west of Norfolk, VA and 50 miles east of Richmond, VA.
  • By air, visitors can fly into the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport, just 20 minutes from downtown Williamsburg. Richmond International Airport and Norfolk International Airport are both 50 minutes away. Ground transportation is available for all flights.
  • By rail, AMTRAK provides direct service from Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
  • By bus, nationwide service by Greyhound serves Richmond and Norfolk with connections to Williamsburg.

Below you will find directions to various points of interest on campus plus information about parking and accommodations.

To the Office of University Relations, Lambert House 312 Jamestown Road
From Interstate 64, take exit 238. Turn right at the second set of lights (Route 132). Turn right again at the next set of lights (Route 60 Bypass). Follow Bypass Rd., staying left. When the road ends and intersects with Richmond Rd., turn left. Follow Richmond Rd. for several miles until the road dead ends at "Confusion Corner," the local name for the intersection of Richmond Road, Jamestown Road, Duke of Gloucester Street, and Boundary Street. At this intersection, take a sharp right onto Jamestown Road. You'll pass the Wren Building on your right, the W&M Bookstore on your left, and a series of white houses also on your left. Our office is on the left in Lambert House across the street from Barrett Hall. Look for parking on Griffin and Cary Streets (both left turns from Jamestown Rd.)

To Phi Beta Kappa Hall
From Interstate 64, take exit 238. Turn right at the second set of lights (Route 132). Turn right again at the next set of lights (Route 60 Bypass). Follow Bypass Rd., staying left. When the road ends and intersects with Richmond Rd., turn left. Follow Richmond Rd. for several miles until the road dead ends at "Confusion Corner," the local name for the intersection of Richmond Road, Jamestown Road, Duke of Gloucester Street, and Boundary Street. At this intersection, take a sharp right onto Jamestown Road. You'll pass the Wren Building on your right, the W&M Bookstore on your left, a series of white houses also on your left and a soccer field on your right. After the field, you will see PBK on your right. Turn right into the circular drive.

To the College of William and Mary University Center and Zable Stadium
From Interstate 64, take exit 238. Turn right at the second set of lights (Route 132). Turn right again at the next set of lights (Route 60 Bypass). Follow Bypass Rd., staying left. When the road ends and intersects with Richmond Rd., turn left. Follow Richmond Rd. through shopping area, for a few miles. Cross Monticello Ave. (Route 321), Matoaka Court and Brooks St. Turn right on Scotland St. (also Stadium Dr.). Drive past the stadium on your right. The University Center is at the end of the parking area on right. Park in any spot marked "Faculty/Staff."

To William and Mary Hall
From Interstate 64, take exit 238. Turn right at the second set of lights (Route 132). Turn right again at the next set of lights (Route 60 Bypass). Follow Bypass Rd., staying left. When the road ends and intersects with Richmond Rd., turn left. Follow Richmond Road through shopping area, for a few miles. Cross Monticello Ave. (Route 321), Matoaka Court, Brooks Street. Turn right onto Dillard, which is the street after Brooks. Follow Dillard until it becomes Campus Drive. William and Mary Hall is on your right.
