The College community is invited to strike a pose in green and gold April 11 to show William & Mary’s next class of students what Tribe Pride is all about.

The Office of Undergraduate Admission is holding a photo shoot at 2:30 p.m. in the Sunken Garden and inviting faculty, staff, students and alumni to participate, wearing the College’s colors. The photo is being taken as part of the second annual Coronation Day, which both recognizes the anniversary of the coronation of the College’s two royal namesakes and celebrates the students who have been admitted to William & Mary for the next academic year.

“Please help us celebrate the beginning of the beginning, at a time when admitted students across the Commonwealth and around the world will be weighing their decision about where to spend their next four years,” said Wendy Livingston ’03, M.Ed ’09, senior assistant dean of admission.

In addition to the on-campus shoot, William & Mary alumni around the world are asked to don green and gold on April 11. Interested alumni may submit photos of what they wear that day to be included on Flickr. Submissions should be made by April 14.

Current students also have an opportunity to take their own green- and gold-filled photos and enter them in a contest. Details about the contest, including guidelines for photos and entry instructions, may be found here.

“Wear your green and gold and show our newly admitted students that William & Mary is for life,” said Livingston.
