ROTC commissioning / Coast Guard Auxiliary graduation

The ROTC commissioning ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. The Coast Guard Auxiliary Detachment graduation ceremony will begin at 4 p.m.

1:30 p.m. -- ROTC commissioning ceremony

W&M's graduating ROTC cadets will be commissioned in a ceremony in the Commonwealth Auditorium. Brig. Gen. Walter L. Davis, a W&M alum and director of Army Aviation, will be the featured guest. William & Mary President Taylor Reveley will also speak during the event.

The cadets being commissioned include: Michael J. Campbell, Kristen N. Clowser, Dustin L. Dunbar, Miguel A. Faria, Joshua A.F. Mickahail, David M. Reed, Scott M. Schillereff, and Nicholas R. Stevens.

4 p.m. -- Coast Guard Auxiliary Detachment graduation

Emily Johnson, '09, will be graduated from the Coast Guard Auxiliary Detachment by Heidi Derby, District Captain from Sector Hampton Roads, and James Clark, Flotilla Commander Williamsburg.  Admiral James Loy (Retired), former Commandant of the Coast Guard and former Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, will be the guest speaker.

A Meritorious Team Commendation will be awarded for outstanding performance of duty to several students and staff, and other students will receive awards in Seamanship and recognizing completion of new member training.

We invite the campus and Coast Guard communities--and anyone else interested--to attend and enjoy a reception afterwards!
