Management Skills for Public Service Careers series is part of the Career Center's "Making a Living, Making a Difference" initiative.
Have you decided that you want to Make a Living Making a Difference? If so, you should know that there are a number of core skills used in these careers that are NOT taught in classes here at W&M. Read what previous participants have said about this series.
The Management Skills for Public Service Careers is a carefully coordinated series of ten workshops designed to introduce you to the core management concepts crucial in public service careers. We bring professionals from the non-profit and government sectors with expertise in each subject to teach the workshops.
The program will begin Wednesday, January 20, 2010, and will continue for the following 11 consecutive Wednesdays, excluding spring break. Each workshop will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Participants are required to complete pre-and-post assessments for each session.
