Paul Littreal passes away

Vice President for Administration Anna Martin sent the following message to the campus community on Feb. 9, 2012 - Ed.

It is with deep regret that I must inform you of the passing this past Monday of Paul Littreal, a graduate of the College and VIMS employee.  He graduated from William and Mary in 2007.  As Dean Well’s note says Paul “has been employed in Liz Canuel's lab since September 2010, providing support to several components of her research program including the algal biodiesel project and a study of organic matter in Delaware Bay. He was an extremely conscientious and dedicated employee and has been a tremendous asset to Liz's program. Prior to working in Liz's lab, Paul was employed in Fu-Lin Chu's lab where he assisted with lipid analyses. As an undergraduate at William & Mary, he worked as a summer intern with Amber Hardison, a former VIMS grad student, assisting her at Wachapreague.

Paul left behind his wife, Joni, and their six year old son Nathan.  Donations are being accepted in person at any BayPort Credit union to account #300658.  Checks should be made out to Nathan Littreal. If you would like to mail a donation, please include the account number on the check and send to:
