The Keio University, College of William and Mary Cross-Cultural Collaboration
Can't make it all the way to Japan but want to interact with foreign students here in Williamsburg? William and Mary students can participate in a Summer internship on campus with 40 Japanese students from Keio University. Students can also apply for the Keio Intenship to spend a summer month in Japan.
Teach English in Japan on the JET Program
The Japan Exchange and Teaching Program seeks to enhance internationalization in Japan. The program offers college graduates the opportunity to serve in local government organizations as Coordinator for International Relations, and in public and private junior and senior high schools as Assistant Language Teachers. JET is a highly respected program that brings over 6,000 people to Japan every year from approximately 40 different countries.

Non-William and Mary Programs:
The University of Colorado at Boulder offers lots of information on Japanese study abroad opportunities.
- Students can enroll in Summer and Academic Year programs both in Japan and at various American Universities. Tuition is paid directly to the target institution and credit transfer must be discussed in advance with William and Mary program directors.
