Cybelle McFadden Wilkens '97 has just defended her PhD in Romance Studies at Duke University. While at William & Mary, Cybelle wrote an honors thesis in French entitled “Imagining the Impossible: Alternative Visions and Representations of Women and Their Desire in Films By Kurys, Varda, and Akerman." For next year, Cybelle has accepted a Visiting Assistant Professorship of French at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
