Mathematics Department

Computing

The mathematics department has a network of Linux workstations in Jones Hall. The workstations and software are maintained by the Computer Science Department.

 

In addition, faculty members and graduate students have access to an on-campus Sun Microsystems Super Computer and Computation Science Cluster facilities.

Current software includes:

  • ARENA (discrete-event simulation)
  • CPLEX (optimization)
  • TeX/LaTeX (text processing)
  • Maple (computer algebra system)
  • SLAM (discrete-event simulation)
  • SPLUS (statistical package)
