Area North of
Rogers Hall

The area north of Rogers Hall features a small collection of cypresses, including an Eastern Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum), a Mexican Bald Cypress (Taxodium mucronatum), and a Pond Cypress (Taxodium ascendans, pictured at right).
The Common Persimmon (Diospyros virginiana, far left) and the European Birch (Betula pendula, left), which can be seen along the brick path, both have distinctive bark patterns.
Other trees in this area include a White Ash (Fraxinus americana), a Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia, above left), and a Sourwood (Oxydendron arboreum, above right).
