Statue of
Thomas Jefferson

A statue of Thomas Jefferson, which was a gift from the University of Virginia, keeps watch over several hybrid oak trees (Quercus lyrata x virginiana).
On the brick wall behind the statue, a plaque commemorates the trees on campus in honor of Dr. John T. Baldwin, Jr.
This Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica) is adjacent to the brick wall behind the statue of Thomas Jefferson. To the right of this tree is an Amur Corktree (Phellodendron amurense), which is native to China.
