Tuition & FeesStudents entering the Law School are strongly advised to plan carefully to meet the costs and financial obligations of their legal education. Students applying for F-1 or J-1 visas are required to show that they have sufficient funds to provide for educational and personal expenses for each year they plan to study in the United States before the university will issue the necessary immigration forms. Although subject to change, the tuition and general fee is a payment toward the general maintenance and operating costs of the College including recreational and health facilities. Any student registered for nine hours or more is considered to be a full-time student and will be charged the full-time rates. Section 23-7.4 of the Code of Virginia sets out the statutory test for domicile to be eligible for in-state tuition rates.
