ACADEMIC SUPPORTThe College of William and Mary Law School created the Academic Support Program (ASP) to help students succeed academically in law school. ASP contributes to participants' success by providing substantive course review in a small and supportive group setting, mentoring from upperclassmen, and guidance in the development of effective study skills, time management, and exam preparation techniques. ASP accomplishes these goals through weekly review sessions conducted by second and third year law students, workshops in case briefing, outlining, exam preparation and bar exam preparation, and the distribution of information and documents via the ASP website. ASP hires one J.D. student each year who offers individual tutoring to LL.M. students on an as-needed basis. In addition, a writing specialist who can assist with legal writing is available to LL.M. students.
