Recognizing the significance of informed public debate on issues at the nexus of human rights and national security law, the Distinguished Lecture Series brings to the law school eminent members of academia, government and legal practice to share with the William and Mary community their relevant and timely experiences in the field.
In its inaugural year, the Series sponsored an informative variety of public lectures on issues such as the interplay between human rights and U.S. foreign policy, the applicability of the Geneva Convention to the War on Terror and the accountability of illegally armed groups involved in internal conflicts.
