Office of Career Services
Student ProfessionalismThe Office of Career Services takes seriously the obligation to educate students about the importance of professionalism in the recruiting and hiring process. In students' first semester of law school, the office conducts a mandatory session which focuses on a number of hypotheticals involving responsiveness, ethics, courtesy, integrity, and self-responsibility. Each student also is required to sign the following Statement of Student Professionalism: William & Mary does not discriminate unlawfully in any of its programs,
procedures or practices against any person on the basis of age, color,
disability, national or ethnic origin, political affiliation, race, religion,
gender, sexual orientation, or veteran or marital status.
By using our facilities or services, employers signify that their practices
at all stages of the recruitment and employment process are consistent with this policy.
