Notes to the Class:
Stephen W. Thibodeau JD ’02 joined the Prince George’s County (Maryland) Office of Law as an Associate County Attorney. His practice centers on local government civil litigation. He was also recently elected to the Maryland State Democratic Central Committee, where he serves as a representative of the Legislative District 33. In addition, he was selected as Treasurer for the Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee.
C. Seth Askins JD ’02 joined McGuire Woods as an Associate in the firm’s commercial litigation department. He is a former Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fauquier County.
Douglas S. Levy JD ’02 joined Troutman Sanders LLP as an Associate to its Commercial Development and Real Estate Investments practice group in Tysons Corner. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Associate at The Lewis Law Firm in Washington, D.C., and a law clerk to The Honorable Leroy R. Hassell, Sr., Chief Justice of The Supreme Court of Virginia.
April (Thompson) Wimberley JD ’02 along with husband Clay, welcomed a son, Finn, in November 2005. Prior to Finn’s birth, she was an attorney at Hogan & Hartson LLP. The family will be moving to Charlottesville this fall.
Holly K. Shaver Bryant, JD '02 won't be able to attend the reunion due to the distance and a new baby, but here's my news.
I remain on active duty with the US Army JAG Corps. I currently serve on the legal staff of an Army medical center in Tacoma, Washington, where I investigate and resolve administrative claims of medical malpractice. I am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom II, during which I served in northern Iraq. My husband, Patrick, and I recently welcomed our first child, Sofia Claire, who was born January 31, 2007. We look forward to once again getting real sleep--someday.
Have a great time next month--eat a Cheese Shop sandwich and take a walk on DOG Street for me. I will be mailing in my pledge information.
