Ideation Feedback

Thanks for taking this survey. Your answers will help us decide the future course of Ideation, the magazine devoted to research and scholarship at the College of William and Mary.

Ideation now comes out in print twice a year. I would like to see it:

More often (3 or 4 times a year)

Less often

Twice is about right

How about the length of the feature stories in Ideation?

Too long. Have more, yet shorter, stories

Too short. Fewer stories, more detail.

Story length is about right.

How about the balance of text to pictures and other illustrations?

More (or larger) photos, please.

More text to read—reduce the photos.

Balance is about right.

Many fine university research “magazines” have stopped printing and exist only on the web. Do you think Ideation should follow suit?

Yes, let’s save money and paper.

No…give me print.

Why can’t we do both? More is more

What is your favorite type of article in Ideation?

What is your favorite type of subject matter for stories in Ideation?

The arts (music, theatre, etc.)

Social sciences (anthropology, sociology, etc.)

Humanities (English, history, etc.)
