The National Center for Homeless Education, in collaboration with the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth and the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty, produces guides and training resources to assist school divisions in implementing McKinney-Vento and for developing and evaluating quality programs for students experiencing homelessness. Some materials you will find on their web site are:
- Mental Health Association of Virginia
The Mental Health Association of Virginia, is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, advocacy organization that promotes mental health, develops services to prevent mental illness and assures the proper care and treatment of mentally ill children and adults.
- Virginia McKinney-Vento Programs: descriptions of homeless education programs in Virginia school divisions currently receiving grant funding through McKinney-Vento.
- Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness: a nonprofit membership advocacy organization that brings people together to
advocate, educate and develop resources to eliminate homelessness and poverty in
