Student Conference Travel Awards

Student Travel Grants are made to help defray the costs of travel to present the results of research at national or regional meetings. The recipient is expected to be the first author on a poster or a presentation of work that was conducted in major part by the student and performed at the College of William & Mary.  Any undergraduate student engaged in a biologically-related area of research may apply. There are three rounds of funding decisions each year to cover potential conferences throughout the year.   Application deadlines are generally in early February (for spring meetings), April (for summer meetings), and September (for fall meetings).  Students participating in the exchange program with Hampton University, Norfolk State University, Virginia State University and Thomas Nelson Community College are also eligible to apply.
