Update Courses and Teaching Modules for
High-School Teachers
Our Update Courses are tailored to
help middle and high-school teachers develop both a knowledge base and
practical experience with topics that are the stated components of the
Standards of Learning (SOLs) for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Designed to be offered for graduate credit at
times convenient to the work schedules of middle and high-school teachers,
these courses are taught by science faculty at the College in conjunction

the classroom. Examples of update courses
