Science Training and Research Program (STAR)

The Science Training and Research (STAR) Program is a pre-collegiate summer enrichment program for rising 11th grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Because such students are often unaware of the rich and varied opportunities available to them in the sciences, this unique program is designed to introduce students to the world of science, research, and technology. Twenty-five students participate each summer in this four-week residential program at the College of William & Mary, which is administered by the College's Office of Multicultural Affairs.
