Appointments

To make an appointment call 221-2998 during standard hours of operation. Feel free to ask for a specific provider if you wish.

Please plan to arrive at the Health Center about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment so that any paperwork and preliminary procedures can be done prior to seeing the practitioner. If you walk in seeking care without an appointment, our nursing staff will assess your condition to determine whether immediate treatment is necessary, or arrange an appointment for you to see a practitioner, usually within a 24-hour period.

THERE IS A CHARGE FOR MISSED APPOINTMENTS AND FOR LATE CANCELATION OF APPOINMENTS. If you are not able to make your appointment, please call the Health Center as soon as possible.

Fees And Charges:

You pay a health fee as part of your tuition and fees. It covers most professional services at the Health Center from the beginning of the semester to the end of the semester when the residence halls officially close. It also covers the intersession period between fall and spring semesters.

The health fee for the summer sessions is optional; you must pay it separately to use the Health Center over the summer. You must pay the health fee to be seen at the Health Center, whether or not you have health insurance.

The Student Health Center fee for summer 2008 is $15.00 per week that you are seen at the Health Center.

We charge a co-pay of $5 for all physician, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant visits. There are additional fees associated with the following services:

  • Tests associated with annual GYN exams
  • Routine physicals
  • Emergency contraception appointments

There are also charges for:

  • Laboratory Tests
  • Prescriptions
  • Some medical supplies
  • Immunizations
  • Allergy shots
  • Some surgical procedures
  • Missed appointments which are not canceled in a timely manner

Payment is expected at the time service is rendered. Payments not made by the end of the month at the Student Health Center must then be made at the Bursar's Office.

See the CHARGES SHEET for more information on specific fees.

Charges are subject to change without prior notice.
