College Employee of the Month Nomination Form

COLLEGE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH AWARD
Criteria for Selection

The College Employee of the Month is selected based on overall quality of work and dedication to the College by an hourly or classified employee. Reflecting the diverse nature of the College's workforce, the College Employee of the Month should model many of the following qualities: flexibility, adaptability, initiative, leadership, responsibility, and innovation. Outside activities relating to the person's work (activities in work-related organizations such as the Virginia Governmental Employees Association and service to campus and community organizations) should also be considered.

The College Employee of the Month award program recognizes outstanding achievement, performance, creative contributions, or improvement beyond what is normally expected of employees. Consideration may be given to such factors as special contributions to the College as a whole, successful completion of special projects, ideas for improved work methods, and outstanding dedication to the College.

Nominations can be submitted by the nominee's direct supervisor or by any two College of William and Mary/VIMS administrators, faculty, staff or students. If submitted by two co-workers, either separate nominations may be submitted or one nomination letter signed by both nominators. Student nominations must be accompanied by the nominee’s direct supervisor. The deadline for nominations will be the 1st of each month to be considered for the following month's selection.

COLLEGE TEAM RECOGNITION AWARD
Criteria for Selection

Awarded in February and September for teams of 2 or more hourly or classified employees for project contributions within the last 12 months.

The College Team Recognition Award is based on overall quality of work and dedication to the College by two or more hourly or classified employees. Reflecting the diverse nature of the College's workforce, the nominated team should model many of the following qualities: flexibility, adaptability, initiative, leadership, responsibility, and innovation. Outside activities relating to the person's work (activities in work-related organizations such as the Virginia Governmental Employees Association and service to campus and community organizations) should also be considered.
