FUNDING OPPORTUNITY SERVICES |
The Grants Office wants to meet your needs as you search for potential funding sources for your work. We want to remind you of some services available for you to learn about grant opportunities. Each of these generally provides two to three months of lead time prior to deadlines:
*The Grants Advisor newsletter. Notices of new issues are sent about one a month
through the WMDigest. The Grant Advisor lists major grant programs in all
disciplinary areas. This publication is also sent to all departmental administrators.
* COS Funding Alert. If you login to COS , you can set up
Funding Alert profiles using keywords. You will then receive an email once a week with
potential funding opportunities based on your keywords. If you need assistance revising
your profiles, please contact eamont@wm.edu. COS also has a Funding
Opportunities database that is available for your use to search.
* NSF Custom News. If you are particularly interested in grant programs through the
National Science Foundation, we invite you to register for NSF Update.
Be sure to check: "Program Announcements & Information" and select your areas of
interest. You will receive email notices of grant announcements based on your
selections.
*NIH Guide ListServ. The NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts is the official
publication for NIH medical and behavioral research Grant Policies, Guidelines and
Funding Opportunities. Each week, the NIH transmits an e-mail with Table of Contents
(TOC) information for that week's issue of the NIH Guide, via the NIH LISTSERV. The
TOC includes a link to the Current NIH Guide Weekly Publication as well as links to
each NIH Guide RFA, PA and Notice published for that week.
* EDInfo. For those interested in U.S. Department of Education programs, you may
wish to subscribe to EDInfo. To subscribe, address an email message to:
listproc@inet.ed.gov. Then write SUBSCRIBE EDINFO YOURFIRSTNAME YOURLASTNAME in the message (if you have a signature block, please turn it off) and
send it.
*NEH RSS Feed. Sign up to stay connected to the humanities. The NEH's RSS Feed delivers press releases, grant program guidelines, Humanities Magazine, and more.
In addition, the Grants Office will occasionally send notices about major grants and
fellowships to faculty directly or over the WM Digest when the appeal is broad.
