Government Graduation 2008

Even having to go to a drab if spacious rainsite at the Rec Center could not dampen the spirits of the 160 Government and Public Policy students in the Class of 2008 who received their diplomas from the Department. At the ceremony in the afternoon of Sunday, May 11, several individual students also earned special recognition: Ryan Powers was awarded the Warner Moss Prize for the outstanding Honors thesis, Maegan Smith was honored with the Megan Owen Award for excellence in Government, and Erica Chiusano (IR) walked off with the Koenig-Nimmo Foreign Service Scholarship (for details on these honors please click here). For a copy of the Department Commencement program, click here. Given that the rainsite was more functional than picturesque, we dispensed with photos this year.
