Right here. Right now.
Annual gifts make a difference every day at the College.
To
all those who have walked along its red brick walks and across its verdant
lawns, William & Mary has always been, and will always be, an incomparable
place - a place where great things happen.
Like any family or community, William & Mary has day-to-day expenses that require a healthy, versatile checking account. Annual gifts of all sizes not only help the College meet these expenses, they allow its people the means to achieve extraordinary accomplishments.
For example, Associate Professor of Government Mike Tierney, co-director for the Institute for the Theory and Practice of International Relations, has helped usher in a new era for international development and research at the College. Tierney, along with faculty and student researchers, are working on Project Level Aid in Development (PLAID), a groundbreaking interdisciplinary project to create a Web-accessible database on international development finance.
In fact, students like junior Michelle Munyikwa are taking full advantage of myriad research experiences at the College. She has found that William & Mary's liberal arts education has allowed her the flexibility to both design her own major and to foster deep connections with faculty who serve as research collaborators and mentors.
And great things don't just happen on campus. A senior at the College, Bailey Thomson, has experienced engagement in various international service trip programs like Students Helping Honduras and local service endeavors.
These experiences allow William & Mary students and faculty to make their marks. Annual gifts provide the College's people the opportunities to do great things right here, right now.
Thank you for your support.
