Scott and Vivian Donaldson Writers in Residence and Class of 1939 Artists in Residence
Since 1971 the English Department has invited creative writers each year to offer advanced writing seminars to our undergraduates. The Writer in Residence Program is supported by an endowment left by William and Mary professor emeritus Scott Donaldson and his wife Vivian. The program is funded every fourth year by the Harry C. and Tina Jordan Gravely Class of 1939 Artist in Residence endowment and has received additional funding from the Dean of Arts and Sciences.
