Kappa Delta Pi - Alpha Xi Chapter

Kappa Delta Pi International

Kappa Delta Pi, an international education honor society, was founded in 1911. The Alpha Xi Chapter at The College of William and Mary was chartered in 1927. The purpose of Kappa Delta Pi is to encourage high professional, intellectual, and personal standards by recognizing students and graduates of the College for their outstanding contributions to education. We endeavor to maintain a high degree of professional fellowship among our members and to quicken professional growth by honoring achievement in educational work.
The minimum requirement for membership is a 3.75 cumulative grade point average for graduate education students and a 3.25 for undergraduate concentrators in education. Students must have completed a minimum of nine credit hours of education coursework or six credit hours of education coursework and be enrolled for three more courses to be eligible.
Students interested in membership must meet eligibility requirements and submit an application for membership.  Applications are available from Dr. Dorothy Sluss, Jones Hall, Room 100.  For more information, please contact Dr. Dorothy Sluss (221-2319) or Dr. Carlane Pittman (221-2296.)
