Economics Department
Resources
This list of resources is by no means a complete compendium of all economics resources available on Internet, but is designed to give you a flavor of resources available on the web. To some extent, this list reflects the interests of the economics faculty and students at William & Mary. As with any page of this nature, this is a work in progress.

Bibliographic Sources
These links are a good place to start doing research. Please note that some resources may be available only from IP addresses within the W&M domain, or off-campus through the W&M proxy server. Many economics departments and research institutes now put working papers on the web. This list is a very small sampling of those places. Please check the general databases (e.g. Research Papers in Economics) for a much more comprehensive list of working papers. Data Sources
Many of these sites contain freely downloadable data. Some may be accessible only from the W&M domain, and others may require fees for accessing data. Sources are divided into "macro-" and "micro-" data, which refers primarily to the level of aggregation of the data. "Micro" data will have information on individuals or firms, while "macro" data will usually be aggregated at some level.- General
