
Welcome to the First Year at William and Mary!
Orientation occurs before the Fall (August) and the Spring (January) semesters to introduce new students to many aspects of the College including academic policies, the judicial system, services, and student activities. The goal of each orientation is to provide the student with a strong sense of community and to encourage feelings of belonging.
The first year of college is critical in shaping a student's success and satisfaction. For this reason, the First Year Experience Program is dedicated to exposing William and Mary students to resources, challenges, and experiences that support and encourage holistic development throughout their first year.
