Session Descriptions
The College Transition
Health Outreach Peer Educators (HOPE) will present a
program on various health related issues involved with the freshman
transition to college. They will explore such topics as values
clarification, resiliency, stress/time management, and leading a balanced
life, as well as drugs and alcohol. All of these topics relate to making
healthy decisions and tie in to students' overall wellbeing when coming to
college.
This program is a follow up to the Sex & Alcohol: Making a Tribe Choice session. This program is very special, as the presenters are current William and Mary students who are dedicated to the area of sexual assault prevention and education. Female students will be presented to by the women of Every 2 Minutes. Men will attend a program presented by the men of 1 in 4.
Diversity Program
This program is a follow up to the Diversity and the W & M Community session. Students will be able to further explore the various areas of diversity with current William and Mary students who will present this topic from the peer perspective.
This program is a follow up to the Community Standards presentation. Honor and Judicial Council members will challenge new students to learn more about the William and Mary Code of Conduct and how to negotiate the situations that they may face while at W & M.
