Academic Intervention Program
Students on probation must participate in the Academic Intervention Program offered by the Office of the Dean of Students during their probationary semester.
There are four requirements to the Academic Intervention Program. A hold is placed on students' accounts after the drop/add period. These registration holds are lifted only after these requirements have been satisfied.
1) Complete and submit the worksheet, "Getting Off Probation and On with Your Education." This form is located on Blackboard under the Academic Intervention (AI) Program and should be submitted on-line.
2) Call or stop by the Dean of Students Office and sign up for a group workshop. All workshops are offered within the first few weeks of the semester. Call now.
3) Meet individually (after you have attended one of the group workshops) with Dean Johnson, Assistant Dean of Students, before Pre-registration begins. Call or stop by the Dean of Students Office to schedule an appointment.
4) Meet with your Academic Advisor before Pre-registration begins.
New - Check out the AI Program page on Blackboard! Go to http://blackboard.wm.edu/, click on "Log In," and enter your W&M Username and password to enter the site.
Please contact the Dean of Students Office if you have any questions or concerns.
