History of the Program

Since its opening in 2001, the W&M Washington Office has worked with the W&M Career Center to organize a unique summer program for William and Mary students with internships in the nation's capital. More than 200 students register for the program, which provides them with a variety of career-based, educational, cultural and social opportunities during their time in Washington.

Washington Update E-mails: Given the vast number of events and activities the city has to offer, interns have a variety of options when trying to decide what to do during their precious free time. So, the Washington Office provides weekly e-mail updates of exciting events and activities occurring in every corner of the city.

Housing Resources Page: A page on the Washington Office website assists students who are looking for summer housing in the Washington area.  The page is available at:
http://www.wm.edu/dcoffice/summerhousing.php

Home Away from Home. The Washington Office is open and available for any William & Mary student seeking advice or answers to questions about Washington. Our office facilities are also available for students needing to check e-mail or hold meetings.
