By car...

Driving from the south, take 395 north across the 14th Street Bridge. Take the Route 1 North exit on your left. This will put you on 14th Street. Continue on 14th Street to Thomas Circle (this will be the first traffic circle encountered on 14th Street). Drive around Thomas Circle to Massachusetts Avenue and turn right on Mass (you need to stay in the outer circle to make the right turn). The next circle is Scott Circle; go around and stay on Massachusetts Avenue. 1779 is located on the right between Scott Circle and Dupont Circle.
 

Driving from the north, take I-95 South to MD-295 South via exit 52.  Merge onto US-50 W (New York Avenue) toward Washington.  Keep right at the fork to continue on New York Avenue. Next, New York Avenue becomes Mount Vernon Place.  Then Mount Vernon Place becomes Massachusetts Avenue.  Pass through one roundabout, continuing on until you arrive at 1779 on your left.

By Metro...

Using Metro, take the Red Line to the Dupont Circle station. Exiting from the Dupont South exit, walk around the circle counterclockwise (towards the SunTrust Bank) to Massachusetts Avenue and turn right. 1779 will be on the left just after crossing 18th Street. The Red Line goes to Union Station, so if you take the train, the Metro will offer a fast, direct way to and from the train station.
